There has been a major update in the Caroline Crouch murder case, as the family of the killer husband has lost their bid to gain custody of the couple's daughter. This shameful attempt has been thwarted, bringing some justice to the tragic situation.

The parents of Babis Anagnostopoulos, the man who was sentenced to life in prison for killing his wife, Caroline Crouch, have been denied custody of the couple's daughter. Anagnostopoulos was found guilty of murdering the 20-year-old British mother in front of their baby at their home in Glyka Nera, Greece in May 2021.

After being found guilty of strangling Caroline to death and killing her beloved dog before staging a fake break-in, the twisted killer was sent to Korydallos maximum security prison. Now, almost two years after Caroline's death, Babis Anagnostopoulos' parents' attempt to gain custody of the couple's daughter, Lydia, has been shamefully rejected by a court in Athens. According to the court order, Lydia's Greek grandparents will only be allowed to have one hour of access to her each week, via Skype or other electronic means. Caroline Crouch's family lawyer, Thanassis Haramanis, expressed satisfaction with the court's decision, saying, "It is what we wanted in every way."

Lydia, the couple's daughter, will now live in peace with Caroline's sister and mother, Susan, in the Philippines, where she is reportedly very happy. Babis' family's efforts to have Lydia returned to Greece have now come to an end following the ruling. However, the killer himself has initiated a new attempt to reduce his 27-year sentence.

According to sources, the killer pilot is seeking a reduction in his jail term through good behavior. However, Caroline Crouch's family lawyer, Thanassis Haramanis, has pledged to fight against it. "We are very prepared. The longer he stays in prison, the better," he said, adding that Babis' parents have been misguided by their son. David, Caroline's father, who still resides in Greece, has called Babis' appeal "absolutely despicable," and has emphasized that femicide is a heinous crime deserving severe punishment. Babis' legal team is arguing that no mitigating circumstances were considered in the previous trial. He maintains that he acted impulsively after an argument and continued to claim that his family was targeted by an Albanian gang. Despite Babis' claims, police collected digital evidence that proved he had murdered Caroline. The young mother's death made headlines globally, and Babis' sick cover-up was exposed after police disrupted his fake botched robbery story. After eight hours of interrogation, Babis finally confessed to the murder.
